No, only Victoria residents are eligible for the Skills First Government Funding. If you are from interstate you are able to enrol in the course but will have to pay the full fee.

Government Funding is also available for all online courses.
The Victorian Building Authority (VBA) registers builders once it has established through its assessment processes that you are a suitable candidate for registration. This involves a searching assessment of your skills and knowledge, coupled with evidence of at least 3 years’ experience involved in running building projects.
The CPC40120 – Certificate IV in Building and Construction course covers areas on which you will be assessed by the VBA. Accordingly, it is a valuable achievement on your pathway to becoming a registered builder.
This will then be followed up with a CPC50220 – Diploma of Building and Construction (Building)
Trader Institute of Victoria also offers a programe called BARB(Become a Registed Builder) that will support you navigate the Victorian Building Authority’s builder registration process. For more infomation, click here.

Yes, there are support sessions provided every Saturday morning (except for long weekends) Via Zoom. These sessions are open to any current TIV student. Individualised additional training and support is also available through the Student Support Team.
You can also call the office on 9399 9511 between 9am and 5pm and get some help from student support.
TIV has a range of training available. When we review your application and can see you may need extra assistance we will call you and help set up everything you need. We will also send through guides in emails.
There is also Student Support available 6 days a week.
Yes certainly, TIV runs information nights on certain dates.
In addition, you can also book an appointment with us if you can’t make it to the information nights to find out more information.

Australian apprenticeships are available to anyone of working age. There is no requirement to hold a secondary school certificate or other qualification. You can undertake an Australian apprenticeship if you’re a school level entrant, are re-entering the workforce or are an adult worker.
