Construction Induction Training (also known as White Card Training) is the work health and safety required prior to undertaking construction work. If you’re a site manager, supervisor, surveyor, labourer, tradesperson or even doing work experience on a construction site, you need a White Card.
The course consists of an interactive presentation conducted by one of TIV’s experienced trainers along with a practical exercises that teaches correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and identification of workplace hazards. Course material is provided, along with a free fluorescent jacket.

TIV will provide all course materials, along with a free fluorescent jacket.
The course duration is one Saturday class from 8: 45 am – 3: 15 pm. You will only be required to attend the single day.

Course Fee
In addition, you must meet the following prerequisites:
- Have valid photo identification. Guidelines for proof of identity can be found here.
- Have basic English skills.
- Wear enclosed shoes to the training.
- Bring a laptop and charger to complete the assessment.
Frequently Asked Questions
Upon successful completion of TIV’s White Card training course, you will receive a State of Attainment for the unit of competency. This will be emailed to you approximately 10 business days after the course.
TIV will also apply to WorkSafe Victoria on your behalf for your White Card. This process may take up to 3-4 weeks and the card will be sent to you by mail.
