TIV’s CPC50220 – Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) is crafted to meet the requirements set by the Victorian Building Authority for registration as both Domestic Builder (Unlimited) and Commercial Builder (Limited Low Rise). It covers a comprehensive range of skills and knowledge that are crucial for aspiring builders to excel in the industry.
Course Highlights:

Course Duration:
- 1 online class per week (6:00 pm – 9:00 pm).
- 1 Compulsory face to face Saturday class which is an Audit of a commercial site. Onsite class duration is 4 hours.

Course Entry Requirements:
The CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) course is intended for learners already holding the Certificate IV in Building and Construction or its equivalent. It is structured to apply the synergies that exist between the CPC50220 Diploma course and CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction course.

Exit:
The qualification is intended to be delivered as an entire qualification at the completion of which the student will be awarded a certificate. However, a student will be issued with a statement of attainment for all units of competency successfully completed if he/she is unable to complete the qualification or chooses to withdraw from the course.

This qualification includes units of competence as per the Qualification Rules and Occupational Health and Safety requirements. Our Student Support Team, comprising Trainers and Assessors, offers additional training to students upon request or when needed, even outside scheduled sessions.

No. However, the CPC50220 – Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) is a prescribed qualification by the Victorian Building Authority (VBA) and will assist you in your application with the VBA. To become a licensed builder, you have to meet the requirements from the VBA and therefore TIV cannot guarantee a licensed outcome.
