This course is designed to cater to the needs of estimators, schedulers, and contract administrators in the building and construction industry. This course equips participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to proficiently handle tasks such as preparing estimates, processing subcontractor claims, and drafting head and subcontracts for building and construction projects. TIV’s CPC40320 qualification supersedes and is equivalent to CPC40308 – Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Estimating).

Diploma

This course is crafted to meet the requirements set by the Victorian Building Authority for registration as both Domestic Builder (Unlimited) and Commercial Builder (Limited Low Rise). It covers a comprehensive range of skills and knowledge that are crucial for aspiring builders to excel in the industry.

Carpentry

Our Certificate III Carpentry course is known as one of the best in the industry.

Apprenticeship

At TIV, apprentices attend our trade school for two consecutive days each month over a 10-month period each year. Our seasoned trainers, who bring extensive industry expertise, lead these sessions. They provide ongoing support for your on-the-job training through regular communication with both you and your employer. Our program is designed for flexibility, allowing apprentices to work, earn, and learn simultaneously at their place of employment. This ensures that training remains practical and relevant to real-world scenarios.

Short Courses

Also known as White Card Training, this course is the mandatory work health and safety training required before undertaking construction work.

​If you’re a site manager, supervisor, surveyor, labourer, tradesperson or even doing work experience on a construction site, you need a White Card.

Building and Construction

Becoming an Owner Builder puts you in charge of your construction project, allowing you to save money and have full control over the build process. Our  course is designed to support individuals applying for Owner Builder status with the VBA. The course consists of a single Saturday session, running from 8:30am to 3:00pm, and is conducted online. It’s ideal for those seeking to navigate the Owner Builder application process effectively.

This course has been established as extra support to help you become a Registered Builder (DB-L or DB-U) with the Victorian Building Authority (VBA).TIV’s experienced trainers have helped hundreds of students from a variety of backgrounds and experiences just like you, pass this course and become registered builders in Victoria.
